Quand je vais chez les gens pour la première fois, je regarde leur bibliothèque, scrute les titres, souris quand je reconnais ceux que j'aime, curieuse quand je ne connais pas, parfois avec l'envie terrible de les voler. Voleuse de livres, ça existe ?

Books: probably my most beautiful love story, because it transports me around the world through the centuries, cultures, through life. I do not remember the time I couldn't read. My favorite photo of me as a child, is the one that my teacher (Sister Solange) took when I was in CE1 (2nd grade). When the bell rang for recess, when all the children would want to play and run, I 'd sneak away to the library to read. With a book, I've never felt alone, quite the opposite. Sister Solange took a picture of me without my knowledge and gave it to my mother.
  I love reading and I love books, I love libraries and bookstores where I can spend hours watching and browsing the books and feel them. I'm always buying new books ( and used books), I watch tv shows about books and scribble new titles. It's one of my too many obsessions. I love airports and kiosks where I always buy a book for the trip (although I already have two or three with me), I buy books for my relatives and I always read them before! I'm visiting my mother only to read, even though she's there.
When I visit a new house for the first time, I always look at people's book shelves  and scan the titles, I smile when I recognize titles I love, I get curious when I do not know the book and sometimes I get the terrible urge to steal the book. A book thief, me ?
